Manage Worker Fatigue and Alertness

New Construction Regulations in Boston Require New Approaches

Written by Peter Hay | June 27, 2023

Boston has implemented a new construction safety ordinance that mandates the submission of a site safety affidavit for all construction and demolition projects approved by the Inspectional Services Department. The ordinance was signed by Mayor Michelle Wu on June 1 in response to recent construction site accidents in Boston.

This measure aims to enhance enforcement against violations and necessitates detailed safety plans for building projects exceeding 50,000 square feet or demolitions involving structures with four or more stories.

With construction firms now needing to submit detailed safety plans to win new business, these plans can become a competitive advantage to increase deal close rates.

Firms competing for construction deals in Boston can differentiate themselves by pointing to modern Ai technologies that they're using to help to ensure project safety.

The Alertmeter® app is proven to reduce accidents in high-risk environments like construction sites.
